Ok, random cuteness, please indulge me for a paragraph. I’m always late to tender tales of interspecies mingling. I’ll have to set up an alert (I monitor news and press releases all day at work so tracking for leisure will likely ensure that I get even less work done than usual). Who can resist a Middle Eastern (you do notice that these mixed up relationships rarely occur in the U.S.) cat named Nimra that takes fluffy chicks under her paw? And hopefully, not into her mouth. They say cats are color blind, but I do wonder if the mom took a liking to the bird babies because they’re both orange and cream (no, I’m not going to say “ginger,” that Britishism bothers me). The chicks are totally camouflaged in that photo and it looks like there's only one kitten.
