Desperate But Not Serious

This weekend my grandma described me as “quiet,” (my family is very loud and talks to strangers) today an older coworker said to another older coworker that I’m “serious” (in the context that I wouldn’t know what I Can Has Cheezburger is). I’ve never considered myself either of those things.

No one talks at work so I silentyy type and I often worry that I’m too silly and will never be a thoughtful, deep-thinking adult so I try not to be too goofy. Compared to the genuinely quiet and serious person I live with, I’m downright madcap and loud. And now I’m confused about the image I project…offline, at least. Here, I’m just a crank.
