Three things I love: interspecies friends, motley Siamese and Climax Blues Band’s, “I Love You.” And now they all exist in one video. [CuteOverload via Jezebel]
I normally watch animal videos with the sound off. You know, like porn, the soundtrack is superfluous. But this tender song has to be played aloud. While listening to the earnest, smooth ballad over the speakers at a Tigard, Oregon Drug Emporium in the mid-‘90s, I decided that this would have to be played at my abstract-in-my-mind wedding. Just because I have not gotten married in the decade-and-a-half that’s transpired, doesn’t meant that I have forgotten.
At the time I couldn’t remember the band’s name. I’m pretty sure there was an internet for researching such text-based concepts but there was no way you’d be able to click and listen to any songs. That is the beauty of the modern internet: instant music. If I were to have found a version of “I Love You” online in say, 1996, it would’ve sounded just like this.
