My keychain (Hello Kitty dressed like a lion for
leos) that I had been using since at least 2000, finally fell apart. I never
intended to keep it 13 years; I'm just lazy and don't really care about
keychains. My replacement, another zodiac-themed one off eBay, is fine, but the
keys keep coming off the thin wire (yes, I should just put them on the thick
metal loop, but I never want to ruin my nail polish and am not thinking about
this on the days when my nails are messed up and more usable) and falling onto
the ground when I go to open my front door.
My Chinese knock-off Kate Spade necklace that I
bought around Christmas broke. I need a little gold replacement loop and a pair
My real Kate Spade bag that I also bought around
Christmas keeps coming apart. The D-ring won't stay lodged in place.
My last summer (or maybe it was 2011–I keep losing years now that I'm elderly) cheap Target plastic sunglasses
popped apart this morning, though that doesn't quite fit this theme. Still.
Also, I don't actually have central air (that's when
everything is temperature controlled with the touch of a wall panel button,
right?). I just meant that I finally have a built-in air conditioner, one in my
living room, one in my bedroom (I resent still sweating while putting on makeup in the bathroom) not a crappy one you take in and out every
year. So, no, I totally haven't made it, after all. There is always a catch. Still waiting…
