I just wanted to let you know that top coat is bullshit. I've never used it in my 25+ years of nail polishing but bought a bottle at Target a few weeks ago along with candy apple red Loreal polish and later a bottle of gray (which is finally becoming mainstream, though I do wonder if it's job interview appropriate—not that I have any prospects and yes, I have a job, but I'm never not looking) Essie called chinchilly. The red polish chipped even faster than usual. My half-assed home manicures rarely last longer than a week but with the clear on top, I had chips within 48 hours.
Also, boo to the person who managed to get my debit card number and buy gas all over Brooklyn and McDonald's food three times in two days.
