Have you ever experienced scary, like I’m discovering the Matrix (or maybe that would be Lost and I’m back home or maybe dead and starting to remember the island or Olivia realizing she’s really a blonde without bangs on Fringe), kind of déjà vu?
This has happened before: it’s dark, towards the end of the day, I’m the only one in my three-person room in the office, meandering from work-related reading to a Daily News article about how we’ll never get a high speed train between NYC and Albany.
I am 90% sure I read this exact article in the same burnt-out, drowsy state of mind weeks ago and the comments were even the same, citing union labor and environmentalists (suspiciously, no mention of Obama). But the date online is clearly November 30, 2010.
I guess the real question is why I would be compelled to read about a stalled plan for a high speed train to Albany twice. I am as lame in the alternate universe as I am in this one.
