Her brother who doesn’t communicate with the rest of the family despite also living in Portland, has become a school bus driver.
His twentysomething daughter, my cousin, who I presume still lives at home, is also driving a school bus. The male cousin, who I imagine lives with his father and sister, is getting his school bus driving license.
Janelle, Leo, Eldin a.k.a. Butchykins and Davine were the school bus drivers of my youth. They were all enigmatic, a little lone wolf with a side of abrasive. School buses are places of torment.
