History

I spy

This is what I saw while embarking on an hour-and-a-half trip to Bay Ridge, something I won't undertake again on a weeknight any time soon, especially not in near-Arctic conditions. (Two nights later I managed to get lost finding the PATH at 3am in Jersey City and just gave in and paid $75 for a cab ride home. So far, 2015 has been very bad for drinking in neighborhoods not my own after midnight.) Eyes are better than iPhone lenses because I knew exactly what I was seeing and snapped this seconds before my train arrived and made a mental note to document it when I got to that side of the platform on the way home, no matter how beat-up or defeated by mass transit.

John adams

Henry Thomas as John Adams! H.T. is totally the new Paul Giametti.

82nd st station

The number 2 at the 82nd St. station makes me think of the number 2 I bought for my door, a number 2 that looks as if it's always been there but is a fresh addition. I wanted this three-dimensional green German number 2 but hesitated about drilling holes in my door because of potential building-related nonsense (that I don't discuss here, but do to some degree on Facebook).

Number 2

But my 2 is totally a different font from the subway station's 2. This is why I'm not a graphic designer.
